The NHS is updating their advice regarding Coronavirus daily. Advice on self-isolation at home can be found here. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE SURGERY UNLESS INVITED BY A CLINICIAN. If your symptoms become unmanageable at home, or last for more than 7 days, visit the nhs 111 online coronavirus service for further advice.
We are now also unable to accept Prescription requests in person at the Practice. Please order all prescriptions online or via a pharmacy. We recommend the NHS App (see below) which is quick and easy to set up yourself at home.
Our patients can now use the new NHS App; a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more. If you are already registered for online access you can continue to use it, and can use the NHS App as well. for more information go to www.nhs.uk/nhsapp or search your app store for "NHS App."
URINE SAMPLESAs of February 2019 we no longer accept urine samples that have not been specifically requested by a Doctor or Nurse, either verbally or by letter. If you feel you make have a urine infection, please ask to speak to the Doctor on call.
As part of a national initiative to improve patient access to primary care services, Stewart Medical Centre patients are now able to access GP and Nurse appointments up till 8pm on weekdays and on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday mornings, at practices across Buxton and the High Peak. CLOSURES FOR TRAINING
All surgeries across North Derbyshire close one afternoon per month for staff training and development. The Stewart Medical Centre will be closed on Wednesday afternoons on the following dates in the next 3 months of 2020: 11th March, 8th April & 13th May. For further details, see Opening Times.
